week 10

Osu this week play Maryland i hope you did not get sued to the close games that they have been having because this week they absolutely destroy their opponent at their own home. OSU comes out swinging from beginning to end pure domination its a nice break from their past two games.

Q1 starting  off quickly at 11:28 mark in the first quarter OSU score a rushing TD one drive later OSU has the ball again and scores a rushing TD from 4 yards. Maryland decided to take a break from sucking and put up 3 points. But don't let it fool you they would suck again on the next they would let osu score another TD in 1:30 making  the score 21-3 osu going in to the 2nd quarter.

Q2 after putting up 21 in the first they came right back and continued to score in bunches after forcing a 3 and out OSU would score a TD again. Maryland's defense needs to have an amber alert go out because they were missing this whole game. the scoring is not over for Osu they would score another TD at the 4:08 mark of the 2nd and then again at the 2:10 mark. and to round out the this half they hit a 45 yard field goal to make the score 45-3 going in to the 2nd half

week 9

this week should have been a tough one against number 10 Nebraska but OSU came out with a hunger and intensity they have not played with this whole year it was great.

Q1 on NEBs opening drive they would throw a pick that OSU would take back for a touchdown great start. their next drive would go better Neb would drive down and kick a 20 yard field goal. a few drives later osu would throw a 7 yard TD pass to McLaurin this would be it for the first quarter

with 8 minutes Osu would kick a 28 yard feild goal. osu would score again with 3 seconds lef ton the clock off a 1 yard td pass from J.T.. making the score 30-3 going to half

Q3&4 Osu would pull most of their starters and run the clock out as much a possible but they still put up another 32 points while holding NEB to ZERO points in the second half another blow out to ad to the growing list of people that have been blown out by Osu NEB never showed any life this whole game and it did not help that their starting QB got hurt in the first. OSU took this chance to show off the young talent they have wait for their turn to lead this OSU team the Freshmen joey burrow even found himself in the end zone on a run. nex week will most likely be another blow out...... love those.....great...... another snooze fest

week 7

OSU travels to Beaver stadium in PA to play in another nail biting game against Penn State University.
some would call this a trap game due to OSU playing an unranked opponent someone they should beat but as this games shows you should never look over an opponent just because of their rank.

Q1 this quarter would be very boring the lone highlight would be OSU blocking a field goal attempt by PSU the rest of this quarter would just be both teams being stuffed and punting the ball

Q2 this quarter would open up with a 33 yard field goal by OSU to break the scoreless tie. PSU would punt the ball after a 3 and out OSU would march down the field for the first touchdown of the game. then after PSU is forced to punt OSU would drive down and kick a 30 yard field goal.
With the quarter winding down and the ball in there hands PSU would quickly drive down the field and score a touchdown before the half was over.

Q3 on the second possession for OSU curtis samuel would rip off a 74 yard rush for a touchdown. After this both defences would lock up for the rest of the 3 Quarter the only other score would come from the OSU defence sacking PSU in there own endzone for a safety making the score 21-7 going into the fourth quarter

Q4  this quarter would be dominated by PSU starting off with a touchdown rushed in by McSorley from 2 yards out. After an OSU punt PSU would drive down and kick a 34 yard field goal on the very next drive OSU would drive down in too PSU red zone and set up for a 46 yard field goal attempt but it would be block and returned for a PSU touchdown making the score 24-21. OSU would try and mount a game winning drive but be stuffed and turn the ball over too end the game 24-21 PSU

Q1 Wisconsin drew first blood driving down the field and making a 46 yard field goal. but they are not done after making Osu go three and out Corey clement RIPS off a 68 yard run for Wisconsin on the same drive they would score off a 24 yard pass from Hornibrook. finally showing some signs of Osu put some points on the board with a 25 yard field goal. that would end the first

Osu coming up clutch kicking a feild goal with 3:57 left on the clock to tie the game at 23. The Osu defence would hold tough and stop Wisconsin forcing OT

OT Osu would get the ball first and come out with a fire scoring in just 3 plays. the defence would continue the trend and stop Wisconsin on fourth down to win the game in OT

week 5

Welcome back for another of OSU football. This week our favorite Buckeye's went up against the Indiana Hoosiers and taking home another win, not that that's surprising.

Q1:
Not very surprising to hear, but the only scoring done in the first quarter was by Ohio State. But besides that not to much excitement in the first quarter. A few minutes into the first quarter Barrett rushed the ball for -6 yards to OSU's 29 yard line but fumbled the ball. Indian's Patrick Dougherty recovered the fumbled but returned for 0 yards. Half way through the first quarter Ohio State was penalized 5 yards but a few minutes later kicked a 37 yard field goal. After a few more drives the quarter ended with the score being 3-3 Buckeyes.

Q2:
The Hoosier's started off the second quarter with two incomplete passes and a punt with no return. A few minutes into the second quarter Indian's Richard Lagow fumbled the ball and was recovered by Ohio State's Jalyn Holmes and returned for 0 yards. Shortly following the return OSU's Mike Weber rushed the ball for 9 yards and scored the first touchdown of the game. Ohio State's Sameul did fumble the ball near the end of the second quarter but was recovered by Ohio State's Dontre Wilson. A few minutes later Samuel rushed up the middle for a 5 yard touchdown. But before you think the quarters over Indiana decided to put up some points with a minute remaining in the second quarter. But wait, it's still not over! With :35 seconds left in the quarter Ohio State scores their third touchdown of the quarter making the halftime score 24-10.

Q3:
to open up the third Indiana would drive down the field and score their only touchdown and only points of the second half. Not to be outdone OSU would march down the field and put up a touchdown of their own on the board on the very next drive. the rest of the quarter was made up of each team punting it back to each other.

Q4: OSU would score one more time before the game was over making the score 38-17 this would be the final score

Ohio State’s week off was more exciting than there week 5 game against Rutgers. Unlike the past three teams Rutgers didn’t put up any points the entire game making it another easy victory for Ohio State. In their 5th game of the season J.T Barrett broke the school record for the most career touchdown passes. In total he has 59 touchdown passes in his 27 career games at Ohio State.

Q1: After a lot of back forth, late in the first quarter Ohio State finally scores after Barrett threw an 18 yard touchdown pass to Wilson.

Q2: Ohio State starts off the second quarter with the a 33 yard field goal kick by Durbin. About the middle of the second quarter Rutgers Michael Cintron punts the ball with no return leaving the ball on Ohio State’s 28 yard line. Near the end of the second quarter Barrett throws another complete pass the McLaurin for a 14 yard touchdown. Near the end of the second quarter Barrett thrown another touchdown pass for 16 yards too Baugh. In the final minutes of the second quarter Barrett throws his third touchdown pass for the quarter to Samuel for 5 yards. Ending the first half 28-0

In the second half Ohio State took the advantage of being up big in a game they knew that they would dominate and put in there young players. In the third quarter freshman Demario McCall scored a 20 yard rushing touchdown. And in the fourth, another young play Johnnie Dixon scored a 5 yard rushing touchdown. Neither team scored for the remainder of the game leaving the ending score 58-0.

Another week, another blow out. Ohio State as usual shows no way of slowing down and will most likely continue to dominate teams for the rest of the season and keep their number two spot.

Next Ohio State takes on the Indiana Hoosiers at home again.
It wasn’t much of shock that Ohio State took home another win this week. This week the Bucks took on the Oklahoma Sooners with an ending score of 45-24. In a shocking development, unlike the past two opponents the Sooners decided to show up and put up more than a few points.

Q1: At the 7:35 mark of the first quarter, Ohio State goes for it on fourth down on the Oklahoma 36 yard line. Not only gets the first down, but scores too. On the next possession Oklahoma goes for it on the fourth down on OSU’s 33 and instead of scoring or even getting the first down Ohio State picks it off and returns it 68 yards for a touchdown! On the next kickoff Oklahoma takes it 97 yards for a touchdown. Making the ending score for the first quarter 14-7.

Q2: To open up the second quarter Ohio State scores off a JT Barrett pass too Brown. And the scoring continues with Oklahoma driving down too OSU’s 9 yard line and kicking a field goal. A few drives later Oklahoma would throw another interception and on the very next play Barrett completes a pass too Brown for 37 yards and a touchdown. Oklahoma responds by driving down too OSU’s 35 yard line and throwing a touchdown. Not to be outdone, OSU scores again, Barrett throws a touchdown pass 25 yards out too Brown ending the first half with a score 35-17.

Q3: Too start off the third quarter OSU would drive down the field and score the first touchdown of the second half. Late into the third quarter Oklahoma scores from 5 yards out. That would be the only time either team scored in the third quarter.

Q4: If you thought the third quarter was boring, the only scoring in the fourth quarter would come from a 31 yard field goal made by Ohio State.

Overall this game was a lot more exciting than the first two games of the season. Next week we have off but when we come back we play Rutgers at home.

Saturday, November 12, 2016

Welcome back too another week of exciting OSU football. This week we played Tulsa at home. This game a lot like last week, ended in a blowout in favor of OSU.

Q1: Tulsa started off with a great pass, to the wrong team. Ohio State’s Lattimore intercepted the ball. Unable to do anything with the ball OSU had to settle for a field goal. Latter in the quarter, Tulsa would drive down too OSUs 20 yard line and kick a field goal, scoring the only three points they had in the game and ending the first.

Q2: To open up the second quarter, OSU would drive down too Tulsa’s five yard line and kick a field goal making the score 6-3. Later in the second quarter Tulsa would throw another interception, this time it would be returned by Hooker for a 26 yard touchdown. On the very next drive, Tulsa would fumble, but OSU would be able to do nothing with this. Luckily enough, Tulsa was in a giving mood and threw and threw another interception for a 40 yard touchdown by Lattimore ending the half.

Q3: Too open up the second half, OSU would get the ball and score off of an 11 yard rush by Barrett. Near the end of the third OSU would hand it off too Weber for a one yard rush for a touch and that would conclude an exciting third quarter, the score being 34-3.

Q4: After forcing a Tulsa three and out, Barrett would lead his team down the field for yet another touchdown. On the very next drive, OSU scored the last touch of the game off of Wilson’s five yard rush for a touchdown. The ending score 48-3.

And for the second straight week, proves to be to much for their weak opponent.

Hope too see you next week, as we recap the OSU vs. Oklahoma game at the Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

It's finally here, the moment we've all been waiting for, Ohio State's first game of the season and their home opener against Bowling Green.
Nothing like an instate rivalry, a one sided rivalry, but a rivalry none the less, to start off the season.
As everyone expected Ohio State beat the breaks off of Bowling Green for four straight quarters. The ending score being 77-10. . . . real nail bitter here.

Q1: To start off the game, Barrett started the game off in a disappointing manner, by throwing an interception that was returned for a touchdown in the midst of a promising drive. But immediately made up for it in the next drive throwing a 47 yard touchdown pass to K.J Hill, being Ohio State's first touchdown of the year. Two possessions later, Ohio State would drive down yet again and score from 25 yards out with a pass from Barrett to Wilson. After Ohio State's defense forces a 3-0 OSU got the ball back their own 27 yard line. After a penalty and a short run OSU threw a 79 yard touchdown to Samuel. Ending the first quarter 21-7 and Bowling Green had the ball.

Q2: After BG forces OSU to punt to start off the quarter, BG would drive down to OSUs 14 yard line and kick a 32 yard field goal. On the very next drive, OSU would lead a drive down to BGs 25 yard line and from there Barrett would throw a 25 yard touchdown to Brown. Following that, BG gave the ball right back and OSU would score yet again, after Barrett making a rushing touchdown making the score 35-10 going into halftime.

To break down the second half, BG would not score again, but that didn’t keep Ohio State from scoring. OSU put up 42 points in the second half. This gave the starts some time to rest while the backups got some time on the field. We got to see some promising freshman show what they have to offer too the team.

Not a very interesting game to start off the season but it doesn’t take away from the fact that we started off the season with a win.

Next week it’s OSU vs. Tulsa at home.
